A client of ours that is focused on Cybersecurity Certifications is looking to bring aboard a full time remote hands-on Principal Lead Cloud Engineer. This individual will lead the Management, Operations and Engineering of our large AWS environments and establish and use industry best practices, ultimately making sure our clients’ students have the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure As Code (IAC) automation experience leveraging CI/CD, Terraform, Cloud Formation or relevant Tools/Code Experience

  • DevOps and automation using Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation

  • Cloud (AWS/Azure) Service integration experience leveraging pre-built APIs (Think: workflow automation or pipeline integration)

  • Demonstrates Strong coding/Scripting skills, but not necessarily at a developer level (Python, JS, PowerShell or relevant)

  • Hands-on experience with multiple public cloud platforms (Primarily AWS or/and Azure, GCP)

  • Well versed in serverless and container-based stacks preferably within Cloud environments

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Infrastructure/OS/Security/Application)

  • Identify ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes to solve problems

  • Core Skills and Behaviors

  • Technical Lead Experience leading a technical team.

  • Team player, ability to work effectively with other teams

  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Cloud native as first approach to solving problems

  • Quick leaner and have the ability to chance course quickly

  • Building and presenting operational dashboards to stakeholders

  • Demonstrated analytical, data analysis, critical thinking, and communication skills

  • Understanding of cloud security models, tools, and best practices

  • Proficient with Infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Experience with Docker / Containerization (through Swarm, AWS ECS, Mesos/Marathon, Kubernetes, other)

Skills, Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer or related role

  • 10+ years of experience with Cloud/AWS/Azure

  • 2+ years of Technical Lead Experience in Cloud, DevOps
